Write about a time someone lost control.
For those with writer's block or those who just need a bit of a push, I'll feature a prompt from Judy Reeves book A Writer's Book of Days. It features a writing prompt for every day of the year.I encourage you all to buy it. I literally had to steal it back from my friend/workshop cofacilitator.
Set a timer for 5 to 10 minutes and write. Don't forget to write your prompt, title and date in your notebook (or on your computer).
Feel free to keep your writing private, post a link to it on your blog, or feature it below in comments. If you would like line by line feedback of this variety, just let us readers know.
Tip: For those in the collecting/categorizing/collecting mode, choose a poem that loosely fits the prompt. (We'll never know you didn't write it today).
And if you just want to post a poem that you know at least 1 person will comment on (me), but it has no relationship to the prompt, post below. The whole point is to get in the habit of writing or working on poems at least 10 minutes a week. It's achievable!
