On Collections
Above is a quick video log about creating collections. I can see how so many people get addicted to vlogging. It's quicker than writing. It's instant. Y'all, I just may make this a vlog if I can figure out the best quality vid with the quickest upload.
I hesitate to vlog because I'm protective of my image on these mean Internet streets. I'm not a celebrity or anyone well known. In fact, most of this blog's followers know my government name. I just haven't decided if I will return to the field of education. Since I was in admin positions, it was important for me to portray a bit of a reserved persona. I'm nothing of the sort.
Still, we judge and are judged by our presentation. I dont' want to mix up vizionheiry with my professional name. When an employer searches for me, I don't want them to assess my enduring love for Michael Jackson and overstanning for Real Housewives of Atlanta with my ability to complete a work task. Yet this happens.
Since I've had to terminate an employee for their virtual presentation, I know just what employers do. Oh, and though it is against the Employment Non-discrimination Act, recruiters still Google you and try to find various stats about you: age, ethnicity, location, interests, etc.
I've allowed my personal life to overcome my discipline for writing. I haven't been writing. I failed at #novpad as you can see below (Onward to April's NaPoWriMo).
In good news, I did have two poems accepted to Red Lion Square. The show hasn't aired yet. I'll post it when it does!
